About The Position

Sandstone is seeking a Forward-Deployed Lawyer, Engineer, or Ops Leader to act as the primary point of contact for a group of in-house legal teams after they have purchased Sandstone's platform. This role is responsible for managing relationships from the initial onboarding phase through to adoption, expansion, and renewal. It is not a sales position, but rather focuses on systems and outcomes, ensuring client readiness translates into strong adoption, retention, and expansion. The individual will be a builder, responsible for designing programs, defining standards, and working directly with in-house legal teams to guarantee their early success and long-term scalability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an Forward Deployed Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, Customer Success Lead, or a related role within a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, ideally in LegalTech.
  • Comfortable owning senior stakeholder relationships, driving adoption, and delivering commercial outcomes in a fast-moving setting.
  • Understanding of how legal teams think, work, and struggle, with a motivation to help them level up through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of accounts, establishing a strong foundation for long-term adoption and clear, measurable client outcomes from day one.
  • Drive sustained product adoption through structured enablement programs, tailored success plans, regular engagement, and proactive usage optimization.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to legal and operational leaders—aligning Sandstone to client goals, uncovering new use cases, and helping teams re-imagine how legal work gets done.
  • Identify and drive commercial opportunities, partnering cross-functionally to support renewals and expansion.
  • Monitor customer health using quantitative and qualitative metrics to proactively mitigate churn risk and drive retention.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Legal Engineering, and Marketing to translate customer feedback into actionable insights that shape our roadmap, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Design, refine, and operationalize Sandstone's engagement playbook at scale.
