This role is for someone who believes the best way to do their job hasn't been invented yet and wants to build and ship AI systems that people depend on. The Forward Deployed Growth Strategist will embed with a commercial team within a $6B+ business to identify AI opportunities, build AI systems, and drive adoption to achieve measurable commercial impact and growth. The role requires a blend of commercial acumen and technical expertise, with the ability to own the full lifecycle of AI solutions from problem definition to adoption and outcome measurement. The strategist will work directly with operators to eliminate manual work, accelerate decision-making, and drive tangible business results.

Requirements

5-7 years of experience spanning both commercial accountability for business results and hands-on software building.
Deep expertise in at least one commercial discipline (Sales, Media, Strategy, Analytics, or adjacent).
Proven commercial impact, with the ability to explain specific revenue growth or margin expansion achieved and how.
Commercial data literacy, including comfort with discipline-specific data (sales, media spend, margin, funnel, inventory, marketplace) and judgment to identify key metrics.
Production AI engineering experience, including designing, building, and shipping agentic systems (multi-step agents, tool use, orchestration, retrieval, structured outputs, evaluation, human-in-the-loop) that run in production.
Real technical range, including strong Python, SQL, and API fluency.
Comfort with cloud data warehouses and modern data modeling.
Sufficient front-end capability to build user-friendly tools.
Ability to write maintainable code.
Credibility and speed: ability to earn trust from analysts to executives, operate well in ambiguity, and move proactively.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with SharkNinja's enterprise data platform is not required; the ability to get productive fast is.

Responsibilities

Embed with a commercial team and operate as a member, learning their rhythm, metrics, and decision-making processes.
Diagnose revenue and margin opportunities, proving the business case with data before building solutions.
Design and ship AI agents, LLM pipelines, data products, and internal tools that integrate into live commercial workflows.
Own the architecture, build, evaluation, and production of AI solutions.
Develop deep fluency in the enterprise data platform to scale solutions beyond a single team.
Ensure reliability, evaluations, observability, and cost-efficiency of deployed systems.
Own the outcome by driving genuine adoption with operators and measuring success by business impact.
Translate technical concepts to commercial stakeholders and business impact to technical teams.
Prioritize AI initiatives with senior commercial leaders based on value creation.
Document and hand off solutions to create repeatable systems and promote reuse of existing organizational assets.
