About The Position

This is a forward deployed role focused on analytics and AI. The role involves securing technical wins with customers by deeply learning the Golden platform and owning technical evaluations, including demos and proofs of concept. It also involves embedding in major customer deployments to model data, build initial analyses, and drive adoption. Additionally, the role requires being a public voice for Golden by sharing learnings with the wider data community through talks, videos, and collaboration with the product team. The ideal candidate is excited about reinventing analytics with AI and helping customers experience this future using their own data.

Requirements

Senior-level experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, analytics engineering, forward deployed engineering, or a technical field role where you owned the technical win.
Real fluency with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and the modern data stack (dbt, semantic layers, the analytics engineering workflow).
Strong SQL and a working understanding of how analytics gets built, governed, and broken inside a real company.
A visible instinct to teach and share, and a genuine appetite to build a public voice under your own name.
Comfort with pre-GA ambiguity and the drive to build a function from scratch.
Must be comfortable living in SQL and a warehouse day to day; this is not a role where you'll be writing application code.

Nice To Haves

An existing following or content footprint in the data community.
Background at a BI or analytics vendor, or hands-on time as an analyst, analytics engineer, or forward deployed engineer.
Experience with a forward deployed or embedded delivery model at an early-stage company.

Responsibilities

Secure the technical win by deeply learning the Golden platform and owning technical evaluations with prospects and partners.
Embed in major customer deployments as a forward deployed analyst, modeling data, building analyses, and driving adoption.
Be a public voice for Golden by sharing learnings with the data community through talks, videos, and collaboration with the product team.
Lead product demonstrations, build proof of concepts against customer environments, and help teams understand how Golden fits into modern data stacks.
Work directly inside customer environments to help them become successful with Golden, modeling real business data, building initial analyses, and establishing semantic models.
Uncover friction, challenge assumptions, and imagine a better way to build analytics, turning insights into product improvements.
Share learnings with the data community through speaking at conferences, publishing technical blogs, creating videos, or contributing examples.
Build demo environments, POC playbooks, and the engagement model for the forward deployed function.
