About The Position

We’re hiring a Senior / Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to join Healthie’s Engineering team. In this role, you’ll help solve complex customer challenges via building targeted solutions on top of  Healthie’s extensible platform. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will act as a technical partner to our customers—helping diagnose complex issues, identify the best solution, implement the solution, and help expand the platform to make building subsequent solutions easier.  You’ll engage with customers through a mix of asynchronous communication and live sessions, translating complex issues into clear, actionable next steps and solutions so customers can move forward with confidence. You’ll work closely with the CTO and our solutions engineering team to ensure a great experience for our most complex customers. At the senior or staff level, the role extends beyond reactive support. You’ll deeply understand a customer’s business, their needs and pain-points, and be able to identify and communicate the best way to solve them. Beyond individual needs, you’ll help improve systems and processes by identifying recurring issues, contributing to internal documentation and tooling improvements, and helping design scalable solutions that reduce friction for customers over time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being deeply technical while staying close to customers and wants to help shape how Healthie’s platform operates in real-world healthcare environments. Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in highly technical, customer-facing roles within a consultancy or platform-based company (Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Engineering Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer). Experience in healthcare technology is a plus.
  • Comfortable acting as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering teams, helping diagnose complex issues, guide implementations, and translate customer workflows into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong technical generalist with the ability to go deep when needed. Strong product-sense. Experience with APIs and zero-to-one full-stack development.
  • Deep pride and care in your work.
  • Excellent communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized and self-directed; comfortable owning problems end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated by working closely with customers while solving complex technical problems and improving how the platform operates in real-world environments.
