Formwork / Shoring Engineer
About The Position
Our client is a small, reputable structural engineering firm specializing in formwork design and inspection for many high-rise / high-profile concrete structures in the Southeast. We are looking for a Formwork Engineer / Shoring Engineer for the Orlando, FL office to assist with shoring designs and calculations. The candidate will also perform on site shoring inspections to ensure the correct installation and conformance with the design drawings. We support design and inspections primarily for new construction forming and shoring, but we do also assist with some demo/remodel work of existing structures. In Florida, shoring inspections are required prior to each concrete placement, so we get very busy with inspections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Experience working in AutoCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of basic construction practices
Nice To Haves
- PE license is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with shoring designs and calculations.
- Perform on-site shoring inspections to ensure correct installation and conformance with design drawings.
