Formulator
About The Position
The Formulator will be responsible for developing new products, primarily oral solid dosage dietary supplements such as tablets, capsules, and powders, based on customer specifications, labels, or samples. This role involves coordinating new product formulation development, modifying existing formulations, and preparing nutraceutical formulations according to test methods. The Formulator will optimize ingredient and product functionality, enhance product formulations to improve quality, cost, and manufacturing processes for both new and current products. Additionally, the role includes developing Supplement and Nutritional Facts, reviewing Master Formulas, preparing monographs and technical reports, researching clinical studies of active ingredients, and providing technical support to customers. The Formulator will also review documentation for international product registration, monitor and interpret design and development data, and perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Chemistry
- 3 - 5 years’ experience
- Knowledge in GMP regulations
- Familiar with laboratory equipment and all production stages (blending, compression, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities
- Formulates and develops new products; oral solid dosage dietary supplements (tablets, capsules and powders), based on customer’s specifications, label and/or sample.
- Coordinates new product formulation development and modifies existing formulations as required.
- Prepares nutraceutical formulations as required by test methods and performs all necessary calculations associated with the test analysis
- Optimizes ingredient functionality, product functionality, product formulations and product enhancement to improve quality, cost, and manufacturing of new and current products.
- Develops Supplement and Nutritional Facts for formulated products
- Reviews new and existing Master Formulas.
- Prepares written monograph’s product and writes technical and progress reports
- Researches clinical studies of active ingredients.
- Provides technical support to domestic and international customers.
- Reviews documentation required for the international registration of products.
- Monitors, evaluates, and interprets data from all phases of design and development of a product
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor.
