About The Position

Etz Hayim owns and operates the brands Cycling Frog and Lazarus Naturals, with a sprawling operation that spans from farming over 300 acres of hemp, extraction, chemical processing, packaging, supply chain and warehousing to support both brands and private label customers. Lazarus Naturals was founded in 2016 to make quality hemp-based CBD accessible to everybody. It's why we own our manufacturing process from start to finish - beginning at our hemp farms in Central Oregon to our extraction, formulation, and packaging - all to deliver safe, effective CBD at an affordable price. We provide a 60% Assistance Program to veterans, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing income challenges, because we believe everybody should be able to experience the benefits of CBD and natural medicine regardless of their financial situation. Cycling Frog is normalizing the consumption of casual use THC products. We are on a mission to make THC convenient, affordable, and fun by making a sessionable THC beverage the same price as a beer or soda. We want to change the way THC is consumed and viewed by our society by focusing on lower potency, ready to drink beverages that can easily fit into anyone’s lifestyle. This role will be based in Portland, Oregon.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office products (additional experience with systems such as ERP preferred).
Ability to receive instruction and follow directions.

Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements.

Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with product/process development, processing laboratory techniques, and regulatory requirements
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food processing industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspects, prepares, measures and mixes raw materials and ensures product compliance and traceability at all times.
Ensures batch formulations are completed on schedule and to spec in a fast-paced environment.
Assists with Formulations scale-up and optimization of the manufacturing process; assist with the technology transfer from R&D to Production.
Plan and contribute to project-related scientific/technical activities (interpret results, provide a critical assessment of data, and draw relevant conclusions.)
Work collaboratively with other cross-functional groups to execute change controls associated with Manufacturing and Packaging master records, SOPs and protocols.
Create and review applicable SOPs, as well as review appropriate documentation and test results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SOPs/GMP requirements.
Reviews and revises batch records, process characterization reports, verification reports and investigation reports as needed.
In collaboration with QC, ensures raw material, WIP and finished product maintains cGMP standards at all times.
Conducts receipt and sampling of all raw materials required for production, and updates records as needed.
Completes all training requirements as needed.
Maintain work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Production Record (BPR) instructions.
Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned.
