About The Position

The Formulation Technician I performs intermediate production functions, including manufacturing in-process materials such as HEMA and Collagen Solution. The role also supports other manufacturing processes, water-system sampling, equipment maintenance, production documentation, and adherence to quality, productivity, and company standards. The technician maintains a clean and orderly work area and works independently in assigned areas.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience or work experience.
Ability to understand and implement general GMP concepts.
Ability to take direction from a lead, supervisor, and other management.
Ability to learn and perform duties with minimum supervision.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Manufacture in-process materials, including HEMA and Collagen Solution, using appropriate intermediate production procedures.
Maintain equipment, including glassware, used for in-process materials production.
Perform Collamer Rod Grinding, Collamer Button Inspection, Collamer Material Test Sample Preparation, and the Collamer Drying Process.
Sample water systems.
Complete required production documentation accurately.
Consistently meet quality and productivity targets.
Follow company policies, rules, and regulations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Work independently in assigned areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
