About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. Join our team of Formula/Milk Room Technicians who provide essential care preparing feedings for hospitalized infants and children. This position will work nine, 8 hour shifts per 2 week pay period. Shift will be 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Possesses ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to perform basic math.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of two years experience in food service preferred.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
May be required to complete Diet Therapy Class and pass Diet Therapy exams.

Responsibilities

Performs and monitors a variety of duties involved with calculating, preparing, delivering and restocking the infant and adult tube feedings for patients.
Calculates, prepares and delivers formulas.
Demonstrates familiarity with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines as it pertains to ordering, storing, preparing and delivering infant formulas and adult tube feedings for patients.
Requisitions formula supplies in a timely manner after receiving computer orders and sending appropriate fax orders.
Serves as a resource for infant and adult formulas.
Accurately calculating the formulas.
Evaluates and maintains quality control standards.
