About The Position

Shift differential starts at 10% for off shifts. Available positions are on 2nd and 3rd shift, however the initial training period may be on 1st shift. Rutland offers a dynamic work schedule featuring both 4 x 10-hour shifts and 5 x 8-hour shifts. Requirements

  • High school diploma /GED
  • Must have one year of manufacturing experience or equivalent. Equivalent experience includes other relevant hands-on work experience such as construction, slate/quarry work, auto mechanics, military, maintenance, heavy equipment operation, machining, assembly, or vocational/technical trade training
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen including but not limited to testing for marijuana/THC
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain alkaline and rinse tanks. Monitor chemical makeup documents and chemical usage. Operator must move parts as needed and wear proper protective equipment.
  • Includes the complete understanding and ability to perform the following for each machine operate skill as identified in your profile. Location of the work instructions and IC stations. Proper material handling technique. The ability to perform machine prechecks, machine operate, inspect, setup, minor machine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to setup, operate, troubleshoot vertical or horizontal presses, setup rotary ovens and other supporting equipment. inspection. maintaining dies, polishing resurfacing to meet standards. Duties can also include: setup/operate hot/cold shear, inspect shear knife thickness and shim as required. Determine front and back support alignment and adjust diameter length of raw stock, determine proper height, adjust/set controller for slug length/heat and material.
  • Batch operations
  • Includes benching and inspection of the following characteristics/operations: Bench Blend, Contour, Airfoil Thickness, Chord, Platforms, Lead edge and Trail Edge profile, Penetrant Rejects, Stems & Buttons, Flow blockers and fillet radii, Radius, Deburr, Buffing, Visual Inspect, Auto Bench operate/setup, in process and final tollgate inspection, and Bench Visual.
  • Operate and setup both spray and dip coat stations. Ability to setup and operate viscometers. Setup and operate spraying equipment. Ability to mix coatings to specific mixes as specified in the work instructions.
  • As well as other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Operate in accordance with rigorous quality and safety practices and procedures.
  • Assigned a training plan, which will outline which skill(s) you will initially learn.
