About The Position

Encord is seeking former technical founders who are eager to return to building and have experienced the thrill of starting a company from scratch. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the founding team, tackle high-stakes problems, and influence the company's direction. The focus is on capability and impact rather than fitting into a predefined role.

Requirements

Proven experience founding or co-founding a technology company.
Strong technical background, including experience writing production code and understanding engineering trade-offs.
Track record of building and shipping products that users love.
Experience hiring, leading, and inspiring small, high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Deep comfort with ambiguity and the ability to identify and address needs without explicit direction.
A builder mentality, with the ability to think from first principles and move quickly without compromising quality.
A strong sense of ownership and ability to thrive without a safety net.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in AI or B2B.
Experience with a successful exit.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the cofounders to identify and drive high-leverage opportunities across product, engineering, GTM, or operations.
Take ownership of ambitious, ambiguous problems and drive them from conception to completion.
Apply an entrepreneurial mindset to identify gaps, move quickly, and achieve results with limited resources.
Build internal tools, processes, and systems to support Encord's scaling.
Act as a force multiplier across teams, bringing founder-level energy and judgment.
