About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in formalwear and tailoring. This role involves altering suits, tuxedos, dress pants, and formal jackets, as well as working with women's formalwear including gowns, cocktail dresses, and bridesmaid dresses. You will also conduct fittings, take precise measurements, communicate timelines clearly, and deliver high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. Requests may also include wedding dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, and other special event garments.
Requirements
- Experience with formalwear alterations and/or tailoring
- Strong garment construction knowledge
- Precision measuring skills
- Machine and hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Alter suits, tuxedos, dress pants, and formal jackets (hemming, tapering, shoulders, waist, sleeves)
- Work with women's formalwear including gowns, cocktail dresses, and bridesmaid dresses
- Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
- Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings
- Handle requests for wedding dresses, prom dresses, evening gowns, and other special event garments
