About The Position

The Formal Delivery Representative is responsible for coordinating and conducting professional machine deliveries that ensure customers are prepared to safely, efficiently, and confidently operate and maintain their equipment. The individual in this position serves as a key link between Sales, Product Support, and the customer by providing comprehensive machine orientation, operational training, and technology onboarding at the time of delivery. The Formal Delivery Representative delivers Caterpillar equipment to customers and provides hands-on instruction regarding machine operation, safety features, maintenance requirements, and onboard technologies. The Formal Delivery Representative ensures customers understand machine capabilities, operating procedures, and technology solutions to maximize productivity, safety, and return on investment.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge and ability to operate all CAT equipment sold by CMCo
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Must be able to conduct pre/post/periodic trip inspections to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Must be able to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel or fluids and performing minor repairs
  • Must possess ability to learn new applications and adapt to changing technology
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload and handle several tasks with competing demands
  • Must be able to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Must be willing to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of heavy equipment technician or operation experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
