About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team in North Hollywood, CA. This role is onsite, outdoors, working out of a Mobile Truck at various California locations including North Hollywood, Mar Vista, Burbank, and Santa Clarita. The position offers weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days. Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience performing repairs on Hysters & Toyota Forklifts – Diesel and Propane Forklifts- PM, Diagnosing, Mechanical repairs on Forklifts.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine inspections on Hyster and Toyota forklifts.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues on diesel- and propane-powered forklifts.
Complete repairs and replacement of forklift components, including engines, brakes, steering systems, mast assemblies, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain and service material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential problems and reduce unplanned downtime.
Utilize diagnostic tools and technician manuals to accurately identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to maintain accurate service records.
Support warehouse and operations teams by providing timely repairs to maximize equipment uptime.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
