Forklift Palletizer Operator, PM, Dairy - Dacula
About The Position
This position is responsible for performing daily start-up and shut-down tasks, stacking product when necessary, tracking and tagging pallets, operating equipment, keeping machines supplied with necessary materials, and transporting, loading, and unloading pallets of product from trailers. The role also involves performing minor mechanical adjustments and preventative maintenance on equipment, conducting sensory evaluations on products and ingredients, and completing all necessary paperwork. The operator must be able to use creative thinking for troubleshooting, possess basic mechanical skills, and work efficiently with little or no supervision. A commitment to the company's mission is also expected.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Must demonstrate safe work habits
- Must be able to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
- Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team member)
- Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
- Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
- Must have the ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
- Must be able to use creative thinking for troubleshooting
- Must have basic mechanical skills
- Must have the ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively
