About The Position

Responsible for efficiently and safely moving materials. This role involves operating a forklift, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to transport goods, as well as packing, labeling, and palletizing materials. The position also includes loading and unloading materials from common carriers, verifying shipping/receiving information, and recording inventories. Occasional dispensing of contract work to different departments may also be required.

Requirements

• Basic English communication skills and ability to perform basic calculations; sufficient primary education to understand and follow standard practices and instructions.
• Minimum of one year of experience in operating a forklift.
• Must lift over 50 pounds, bend, and move materials as required.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to perform basic calculations.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Organized, Dependable, and takes pride in the job.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moves material to and from various locations using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or Forklift equipment.
• Pack labels and palletize materials as necessary.
• Loads and unloads materials from common carriers and verifies shipping / receiving information.
• Records inventories as required.
• May dispense contract work to individual work department sites.
• Performs other activities as requested.
