About The Position

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment. This includes receiving and putting away inbound receipts, loading and shipping outbound pallets, and picking and loading pallets for shuttle to the Ohio Kitchen. The role also involves monitoring inventory levels, refilling stock, and handling quality-impacted pallets. Additionally, the operator must monitor warehouse temperatures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure timely and accurate scanning of all moved products for up-to-date inventory records. The position requires availability for overtime if business volumes change.

Requirements

  • Stand-up and sit-down forklift, electric and manual pallet jack experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently.
  • Good basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts.
  • Loading and shipping all outbound pallets.
  • Picking and loading pallets for shuttle to the Ohio Kitchen.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of all items in designated Pick Line support locations, and refilling before inventory is depleted.
  • Drop, move, and put-away quality impacted pallets as directed by Tech Services.
  • Monitor the temperature of all areas of the warehouse and immediately notify a Supervisor if temperatures are out of tolerance.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, neat, and organized.
  • Scan all moved products timely and accurately so inventory records are always current and accurate.
  • Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed.
  • Utilize mobile handheld devices for scanning product.
  • Safely climb in and out of trailers.
  • Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently).
  • Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope).
  • Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has the potential to be below freezing and may become slippery.
  • Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
  • Adhere to company safety policies.
  • Treat all co-workers with respect and be professional at all times.
  • Safely work in cold weather conditions.
