About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting the Distribution Department in continuous growth and financial success. The role involves putting away incoming freight, managing inventory using an electronic system, transferring products, operating a forklift safely, maintaining a clean work area, reporting equipment and product issues, meeting production levels, and working cooperatively with team members. The goal is to provide ultimate customer service to members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse mobile equipment operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to be certified to operate warehouse mobile equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Putting away incoming freight off the dock and into the racks per the specified location.
• Understanding and using the electronic inventory system to record all transactions or moves of product.
• Transferring pallets of product from reserve levels to pick locations and performing product moves.
• Safe operation of forklift.
• Sanitation of work area.
• Reporting equipment issues or concerns and communicating with supervision on product issues or any other concerns about the job.
• Performing at required production levels.
• Working as a member of the AWG team to ensure total job responsibilities are met, stressing cooperation, integrity, tact, and consideration with members, associates, and division management.
