About The Position
The forklift operator will support production, and shipping/receiving operations by operating different types of forklifts such as G-5 Royal T-250, Hester Spacesaver, CAT T-50, and sit-down. Requirements
- Ability to demonstrate forklift driving experience and pass the certification test if not already certified
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing facility
- 6 months-2 years of forklift driving work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
Responsibilities
- Load trucks with finished sheet metal
- Load cut sheet material onto platforms for dispatch through the manufacturing lines
- Prepare finished goods for transfer to other departments
- Remove coil loads and other materials from trucks as they are delivered
- Transport unfinished and finished product throughout the plant and supply the production lines with raw materials
- Empty scrap tubs of metal waste
- Assist in taking inventory and prepare orders for shipment as needed
