About The Position

The Forklift Operator oversees loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role includes warehouse material handling, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and identifying discrepancies in received loads against manifests. The operator follows detailed instructions in a fast-paced setting and helps ensure freight is handled accurately and on time.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous warehouse experience preferred; one year of experience is specified.
Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
Experience using an RF scan gun required.
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
High attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50 or more pounds unassisted.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Must be able to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift certifications preferred.
Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is specified.

Responsibilities

Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Perform material-handling tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
Ensure work is completed accurately and on time, including packaging and systems tasks.
Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
