About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator to move stock within a warehouse environment. The role combines operating material-handling equipment with material handling and loading and unloading duties. Equipment operation may account for 30–90% of the role depending on production peak times; the general description states that forklifts or other power equipment are used for 80% of the specified shift. The work environment is team-oriented, fast-paced, and safety-focused.

The operator loads and unloads shipments, moves and stages products, prepares orders for shipment, and helps maintain inventory accuracy, equipment, and facility cleanliness. Safe and efficient operation of a stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck is required. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Pay is $20.50 per hour plus a $1 shift differential.

Requirements

• At least six months of forklift operation experience.
• At least six months of experience operating stand-up material-handling equipment is required.
• Safe and efficient operation of a stand-up Dock Stocker and Reach Truck is required.
• A forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating other material-handling equipment, such as an Order (Cherry) Picker, sit-down forklift, clamp forklift, or electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using forklifts or other powered equipment.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct quantities and product types are loaded.
• Maintain appropriate inventory records and reports.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Verify load accuracy, count, stability, and condition; report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as necessary.
• Keep facility equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
