About The Position

Sun Orchard is the undisputed market leader in not-from-concentrate citrus ingredients and refreshments. We have an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator! Responsible for activities associated with raw ingredients, including safely and responsibly operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials. Responsible for keeping accurate control of inventory moved in and out of production.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and interpret basic instructional details and related information.
Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail; Looks for ways to improve and promote product quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
Must be able to adapt to schedule, production hours, and procedure changes; Able to multi-task and handle many responsibilities at once.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Nice To Haves

Some warehouse or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Must be capable and qualified to operate a forklift.
Operates all equipment safely, maintaining proper speeds and clearances to ensure all personnel, materials, and equipment are safe at all times.
Maintains shipping and staging areas in a clean and organized fashion at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
Pulls and prepares product to be shipped using FIFO methodology when necessary.
Pulls all raw materials for blending using FIFO.
Records product movements and/or interplant transfers and acknowledges receipts and/or shipments.
Stack boxes of finished products onto pallets when required.
Conduct appropriate preventive maintenance activities on forklifts and operate in a responsible manner that is in line with company’s SOPs.
Maintain accurate inventory of raw ingredients and materials by electronically moving inventory in WMS.
Once finishing blending and ingredients utilization, will organize them into coolers or freezers.
Support other plant operations when needed.
Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards.
Other duties as assigned or required.
