About The Position

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. provides end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics through a network of storage facilities. The Forklift Operator oversees loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment and identifying discrepancies in received loads against manifests.

The operator pulls routes, stages freight, assists drivers with truck loading and unloading, and performs material-handling duties such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and counting products. The position requires accurate and timely completion of packaging and systems work, safe operation of warehouse equipment, and compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may require overtime and occasional weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using an RF scan gun.
• Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding or shrink-wrap material.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
• Ability to work well with others, including with little supervision.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and occasional weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse experience; one year of experience is preferred.
• Previous forklift certifications.

Responsibilities

• Use manifests to pull routes, stage freight, and assist drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform material handling, including picking, packing, scanning, kitting as applicable, and counting products.
• Complete packaging and systems work accurately and on time.
• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
