About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Forklift Operator for their 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday). This role is crucial in a global logistics company, offering opportunities for growth and development. The position involves operating forklifts to move stock within the warehouse, loading and unloading shipments, and performing general warehouse duties. Requirements

  • All candidates must be at least 21 years old
  • Required to wear safety shoes, bump cap, safety glasses and long sleeves in the warehouse
  • A minimum of 1 year using a Sit Down, Single-Doubles or similar forklifts
  • Six months forklift operation experience
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with Hazardous Materials
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
  • Six months warehouse experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and shipping materials using forklifts
  • General warehouse duties such as inventory, cycle counting, palletizing finished goods, and dumping cans & lids
  • Assisting with the handling and shipment of hazardous waste and materials
  • Moving stock from one area to another within the warehouse environment
  • Loading and unloading shipments of various sizes
  • Operating stand-up, sit-down, or clamp forklifts and electric pallet jacks
  • Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using various types of forklifts or other power equipment 80% of specified shift
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
  • Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary
  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Assist in physical inventories
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
