About The Position
Royal Hawaiian Movers, Inc. has immediate openings for qualified Forklift Operator(s) with at least 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience to join our warehouse in Honolulu.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of proven warehouse or heavy machinery (forklift) operating experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Basic math/computer skills.
- Able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
- Sit, stand, crouch or bend for extended periods of time.
Nice To Haves
- Operators usually work in a busy, fast paced distribution or fulfillment centers.
- Shifts may include nights, weekends, and overtime occasionally to meet delivery demands.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down, stand up, reach trucks, or pallet jacks to transport goods between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers/containers, securing, shrink-wrapping pallets to prevent damage during transit.
- Accurately pick orders, rotate stock, track merchandise using RF scanners or Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Conduct OSHA-required daily equipment checks. Report hazards immediately and maintain a clean, hazard free work zone.
- Perform basic upkeep and escalate mechanical issues.
