Progress creates a career opportunity in Brandon, Manitoba. Our Forklift Operator is responsible for operating the forklift both inside and outside to maintain a safe and efficient flow of material. The Forklift Operator is also responsible for assisting in the organization and set up of material locations, loading and unloading of trucks, yard maintenance and clean-up and other duties as required. Employees must be willing to work 8-hour shifts (shift work is required).

Requirements

1-2 years forklift experience is required
Comfortable using various hand tools and measuring equipment
Must be mechanically inclined and have experience with preventative maintenance
Knowledge of quality and safety standards
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment; adapt to change and work under pressure
Demonstrated positive attitude, initiative and the ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

Operating the forklift both inside and outside to maintain a safe and efficient flow of material.
Assisting in the organization and set up of material locations.
Loading and unloading of trucks.
Yard maintenance and clean-up.
Other duties as required.
