About The Position

A forklift operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout a warehouse or manufacturing facility using powered industrial trucks. They ensure materials are staged correctly for production, maintain accurate inventory movement, and perform routine equipment inspections. Their role supports efficient workflow, workplace safety, and the smooth operation of daily manufacturing activities. Pay Rate: $24-30/hr depending on department Work Hours: Days & Nights Available! 3-2-2-3 Schedule You will work a straight shift of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM OR 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow safety rules, load charts, and written instructions.
  • Strong spatial awareness, hand–eye coordination, and ability to maneuver equipment in tight spaces.
  • Ability to lift and move materials (often up to 50 lbs) and work on feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable attention to detail for inventory tracking and identifying damaged materials.
  • Certification or ability to obtain forklift certification; strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trucks, pallets, and production lines while following weight limits and safety protocols.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory movement records using scanners, logs, or warehouse management systems.
  • Support production by staging materials, organizing storage areas, and keeping workspaces clean and compliant with safety standards.
