About The Position
This position is responsible for moving totes to and from trailers, moving trash, pallets, and supplies to and from the dock and production lines, and moving finished totes to the freezer. The role also involves locking/unlocking ramps as trailers dock and communicating with management and co-workers as necessary. The position will be exposed to work environments with temperatures ranging from -10 to 80 degrees, wet and/or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, concrete floors, and noise levels that require hearing protection. Additionally, the role involves using a forklift to move supplies, trash, pallets, chemicals, equipment, and cardboard bales on the facility grounds. This position will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, insects).
Requirements
- Willing to take and pass forklift operation certification
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Minimum of 6 months of continuous work history within the past 2 years
- Minimum 3 months operating machinery in a processing/factory environment
- Willing to lift, push, pull up to 95 lbs
- Willing to work sitting on a forklift for 8 to 12 hours
