About The Position

A-1 Industries is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Night Shift team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, storage, and transportation of lumber, truss packages and materials throughout the manufacturing yard. This position plays a critical role in supporting production and delivery operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be forklift certified, capable of working independently, and committed to quality, safety, and productivity.

Requirements

Forklift Certification required.
Ability to safely operate large-capacity all-terrain forklifts.
Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to safety and detail.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform all assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Conduct daily and routine maintenance inspections of equipment as required by the forklift manufacturer and OSHA regulations.
Safely operate 8,000–20,000 lb. rated all-terrain forklifts.
Load, unload, ship, and receive materials and products.
Stack and organize truss bundles into packages for delivery.
Secure truss packages to delivery trailers prior to transportation.
Report product damage, equipment damage, quality concerns, or missing materials to the direct supervisor.
Work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and practices to prevent injury to self and others.
Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
