About The Position

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a full-time Overnight Forklift Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for operating a forklift to transport merchandise and materials, assist with loading and unloading trucks, inspecting and receiving merchandise, preparing pallets, performing maintenance and safety procedures, and providing excellent customer service to members. The position requires adherence to company policies and procedures and may involve working in other departments as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

• Prior forklift operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, including pre-use inspections and adherence to safety standards.
• Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks, and prepares delivery trucks for unloading.
• Accurately receives all merchandise and materials delivered to the club.
• Lifts, reserves, and drops pallets of merchandise, and prepares pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transports merchandise, material, and pallets safely throughout the club, utilizing a pallet jack as needed.
• Stocks, rotates, and stores general merchandise and food merchandise, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Handles damaged and spoiled merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensures the club is neat, clean, and organized, performing general maintenance duties such as removing trash and cardboard.
• Participates in daily club openings and closings, and returns merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greets all Members, provides prompt and courteous service and assistance, and helps Members locate merchandise.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned and works in other departments as needed.
