About The Position
A Forklift Operator moves product or materials in a warehouse environment using powered tools and vehicles. This role is responsible for operating industrial vehicles and equipment, transporting materials, loading and unloading trailers and trucks, assisting with inventory management, and adhering to all safety and company policies. The operator may also be required to fill in for other warehouse positions as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one year of work experience.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Prior experience using pallet jack or forklift preferred.
- Ability to obtain PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification upon hire is required.
Responsibilities
- Operates industrial vehicles and equipment (pallet-jacks, forklifts, hand-trucks, etc.).
- Transports raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to the designated storage areas.
- Loads and unloads designated trailers and/or route trucks.
- Assists with the management of inventory and product loss control.
- Adheres to the regulatory, safety, and company policies and procedures.
- Fill in for other warehouse positions as needed.
