About The Position
Lautenbach Recycling is hiring a skilled and motivated Forklift Operator to join our depackaging team. This hands-on role is critical to moving materials safely and efficiently in a fast-paced recycling environment. If you enjoy being on a forklift, working with heavy equipment, and contributing to a team that keeps recycling moving, this could be the job for you!
Requirements
- 1–3 years in industrial, production, warehouse, or recycling operations.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in dusty, noisy, outdoor conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Willingness to take initiative and support overall production goals.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift certification and/or proven forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts daily to transport, stage, and load/unload recyclable materials.
- Lead shift operations within the depackaging area, ensuring safety and workflow efficiency.
- Monitor production targets and report daily metrics.
- Support equipment maintenance, cleaning, and downtime reduction efforts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
- Communicate and coordinate with operations, dispatch, and maintenance teams.
