About The Position

The Forklift Operator loads, stores, and picks pallets of PepsiCo products using forklifts and warehouse technology to keep inventory moving to stores. The role includes operating a forklift after training and certification, handling pallets and cases, managing inventory, and completing housekeeping and sanitation tasks. Hands-on and classroom training are provided. The workplace is fast-paced and hands-on, with team members on the go for most of the shift and regularly lifting, bending, and moving product.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
Lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stand and walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts to access plant areas.
Be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity, around hazardous or loud equipment, and on slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a forklift after training and certification.
Load and unload product pallets to and from trailers.
Place and store product safely in multi-tiered warehouse storage.
Pick the appropriate cases according to orders using required technology.
Manage warehouse inventory using handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems.
Complete general housekeeping and sanitation tasks as needed, such as sweeping, cleaning trailers, and taking out trash.
