About The Position

Use of power equipment to load and unload product. Safely move, locate, relocate, stack and count product. A willingness to learn is important, approaching new tasks with interest and the ability to learn new techniques as job requirements change. Initiative is encouraged by seeking out additional work when tasks are completed and going above and beyond required tasks. Participation in pre-shift and department meetings is expected. Employees should display pride in their work area by maintaining daily housekeeping of the operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, and smoke areas. Promoting teamwork and assisting in all areas and processes of the operation as needed or required is also expected. High standards of work quality should be maintained despite pressing deadlines, producing accurate, thorough, and professional work. Understanding the importance of “Only Handle It Once – OHIO” by completing work correctly the first time is essential. Following all written and verbal instructions provided by management or project leaders is required. Communication should be professional and factual, ensuring the best decisions are made for the company. All issues should be reported to a manager/supervisor. An appropriate appearance and adherence to the established dress code guidelines for the respective position are expected. Safety is paramount; all rules, guidelines, and practices must be followed, and supervisors/managers must be informed immediately of any unsafe conduct or conditions.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Follow all rules, guideline, and practices.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leader, etc.
  • Follow established Dock Safety policy.
  • Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Use of power equipment to load and unload product.
  • Safely move, locate, relocate, stack and count product.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping of our operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, smoke areas, etc.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.
  • Complete lift inspection (electronic/paper) prior to operation.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.
  • Ensure that product is scanned properly and matches the Item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
  • Complete all Inbound and Outbound paper work accurately and completely.
  • Report all product damage to your supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancy to supervisor/manager.
