About The Position

We are hiring for a first shift railyard Forklift Operator (6:00 AM-3:30 PM) to provide quality material handling to support operations and achieve growth. This position will report to the Facility Manager and will occasionally require weekend, holiday, and overtime work. Requirements

• Experience operating a forklift to load/unload lumber and steel products.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and railcars using lift truck equipment
• Reliable transportation to report to scheduled shift and travel between facilities as needed
• Demonstrated accuracy in counting and completing paperwork
• Previous knowledge or a desire to learn about the product being handled
• Positive, clear, and professional communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Minimum 1 year of previous lift truck experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment

Nice To Haves

• Lumber and Steel experience is preferred.
• Experience in transloading fly ash from a railcar to a truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck to pick orders, load and unload trucks and railcars
• Perform inventory control activities to ensure accurate product records
• Serve our customers by providing accurate correspondence on inbound and outbound orders
