About The Position

The company is committed to legendary customer service, operational excellence, and global sustainability. This specific role is for a Forklift Operator in the Converting Department in Baltimore, OH. The position involves 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, meaning employees work half the year. The role is in a union facility. The primary functions include packaging products into finished goods (ticketing, banding, wrapping) according to customer specifications and transporting them to on-site warehouses. Approximately 80% of the time is spent operating a sit-down forklift, and 20% is spent operating converting machinery. Successful candidates will receive job-specific training, including safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks. The role also requires maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area, following safety regulations, and performing other assigned duties, including computer-based safety training.

Requirements

Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team
Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries
Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment

Forklift experience is not required but is a plus

Responsibilities
