About The Position
We are currently hiring Forklift Operators to join our team at a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Sterling Heights. Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves safely operating a forklift to move automotive parts and materials throughout the facility, supplying production lines, and maintaining a clean work area.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a national background check
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
Nice To Haves
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Automotive or manufacturing experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move automotive parts and materials throughout the facility
- Load, unload, stage, and transport materials as directed
- Supply production lines with necessary materials
- Inspect materials and loads for damage
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform daily forklift inspections
- Work efficiently to support production requirements
