About The Position

LiDestri Foods is seeking a Forklift Operator for their 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm). LiDestri Foods has grown from its roots as a pasta sauce and salsa manufacturer to become an R&D engine, formulating and producing innovative food products for national and retailer brand partners. A family-run company based in Rochester, NY, LiDestri employs over 1,000 people across three U.S. locations. They have decades-long partnerships with respected consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies and highly inventive retailer brands.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills and math functions
• Ability to use basic hand tools (RF scanner guns)
• Previous experience operating forklift in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Guide rail cars into receiving bay
• Unload and load inventory
• Utilize RF scanner guns
• Move, locate, relocate, stack and count inventory
• Follow GMP protocols
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
