About The Position

This is a full-time, hourly position with a shift schedule of 5 days and half a day every other weekend. The standard shift is 8 hours, rotating counterclockwise, with the possibility of working 12-hour shifts. The hourly pay is $18.00, with a $1.50 shift differential for night shifts. The role requires a commitment to ADM's zero-injury culture and full compliance with safety and food safety regulations. Responsibilities include operating a forklift to transfer packaged product, maintaining and adjusting equipment, performing general housekeeping, and cooperating with the management team and co-workers. Prompt and regular attendance is expected, along with performing any other duties assigned by a supervisor or lead person. A background check is required for successful completion of employment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in forklift operation preferably within an industrial setting
  • Maintain Attendance record in accordance with company policy
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts (8, 10 or 12 hour shifts at day or night) including weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position, including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces, from heights: bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.) and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently, while flexible enough to work in a team setting (when needed)
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times, maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Updated resume or work history

Responsibilities

  • Pass forklift certification exam, which includes skill test and written test
  • Transfer packaged product from storage and various filling locations into trucks, rail cars or into other designated storage locations
  • Maintain, monitor and adjust equipment as required and maintain paperwork in assigned area in regards to safety, sanitation, maintenance and processing equipment operation
  • Communicate with team/shift employees concerning proper operation of equipment, changes in flow rates or processing capabilities safety concerns, product quality issues and maintenance issues
  • Perform general housekeeping duties: sweeping, compressed air cleaning and clean work area
  • Work cooperatively with Management Team and co-workers
  • Exhibit prompt and regular attendance
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Lead Persons
