About The Position

At Imperial, a Forklift Operator drives stand-up, battery-powered forklift equipment to load or unload pallets into designated areas throughout the warehouse. The role uses equipment such as a cherry picker, reach truck, or transporter to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products and pallets. Received and processed products are moved to either the Bulk area or the Pick Mod. Operators accurately transfer products to help meet customer demand.

The schedule is four days per week, including Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position may involve floating to other Imperial warehouses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a login and password and follow simple instructions.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
• Ability to perform these operations using American money and units of weight, volume, and distance.

Nice To Haves

• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; previous experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive a forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, or transporter.
• Pick, refill, and put away received products.
• Perform detailed checks against documents.
• Use an RF Scanner and Lydia headset.
• Notify a supervisor of equipment malfunctions.
• Configure pallets.
• Maintain the general bulk area.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Clean the work area.
• Follow all module safety training and requirements.
• Possibly float to other Imperial warehouses.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
