About The Position

Under the responsibility of the Logistics Supervisor, the Material Handler I performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. This is a full-time, permanent position with a wage of $24.13/hour plus a $2/hour shift premium. The shifts are Friday to Sunday, 7pm to 7am, located in Milton, Ontario. The role involves performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract, accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading trucks. It also includes handling day-to-day paperwork and providing technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system.

Requirements

  • Basic level knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, if applicable to site.
  • Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
  • Some locations may require a Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) check as a part of the background screening process to drive a company vehicle as needed.

  • H.S. diploma/GED preferred
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
  • Must have valid legal authorization to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
  • Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Responsible for dealing with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
