About The Position

Direct Mail Solutions (DMS), a leading full-service mail and logistics company based in Richmond, VA, is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse team. This full-time, warehouse-based role focuses primarily on forklift operation, inventory movement, and general warehouse support. As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in handling and moving mail materials efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• Must have prior forklift experience and be able to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Must pass a DMS forklift training program to become a qualified operator on all warehouse equipment.
• A valid Virginia driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of prioritizing workload.
• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling are part of the role.
• Flexible with work schedule, as some overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment to move and store materials safely.
• Responsible for the safe and well-organized loading and unloading of trailers, using proper methods at all times.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
• Use computerized inventory systems to track materials and manage inventory efficiently.
• Assist with regular physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
• Work closely with team members across departments.
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse to support the overall success of the team once core duties are complete.
• Be flexible and available for overtime as needed to meet production goals.
