About The Position

Direct Mail Solutions (DMS), a leading full-service mail and logistics company based in Richmond, VA, is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse team. This full-time, warehouse-based role focuses primarily on forklift operation, inventory movement, and general warehouse support. As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in handling and moving mail materials efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

Must have prior forklift experience and be able to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Must pass a DMS forklift training program to become a qualified operator on all warehouse equipment.
A valid Virginia driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
Capable of prioritizing workload.
Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of heavier items.
Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling are part of the role.
Flexible with work schedule, as some overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Operate warehouse equipment to move and store materials safely.
Responsible for the safe and well-organized loading and unloading of trailers, using proper methods at all times.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Use computerized inventory systems to track materials and manage inventory efficiently.
Assist with regular physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
Work closely with team members across departments.
Assist in other areas of the warehouse to support the overall success of the team once core duties are complete.
Be flexible and available for overtime as needed to meet production goals.
