About The Position

The Forklift Operator works in the Distribution Center / Warehouse area, which directs, controls, and monitors the warehousing and distribution of materials or finished goods. The role involves receiving, stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, picking, operating heavy-duty equipment, and planning material movement to support efficient warehouse operations.

The work consists of standardized tasks that may involve multiple steps and requires intermediate technical knowledge. The operator identifies and solves basic problems, coordinates information with supervisors and coworkers, and may provide informal technical support and on-the-job training to new team members. The role works under general supervision, typically setting priorities within established processes and applying provided continuous-improvement concepts. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 1–3 years of related experience.
• Intermediate understanding or knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, and systems in the technical area.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, load, and unload merchandise.
• Pick merchandise and operate heavy-duty equipment.
• Plan the movement of materials to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Identify and solve basic problems, presenting alternatives in a useful and logical manner.
• Coordinate information exchange and work with supervisors and coworkers to complete work steps and solve problems.
• Provide informal technical support and on-the-job training on specific tasks to new team members.
• Apply provided continuous-improvement concepts and participate in projects.
