Forklift Operator

XPO•Village of Montgomery, NY
•$26 - $32•Onsite

About The Position

XPO is hiring a Forklift Operator to sort, handle, load and unload freight in a dock environment. The position uses motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as well as mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments. Operators secure freight inside trailers and follow company safety policies while working efficiently. The dock is not climate-controlled, and the work may involve extended periods in that environment. The role requires availability for a variety of shifts—including days, evenings, nights and weekends—because freight volumes vary. Physical duties include lifting freight and other objects, frequently up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 70 pounds, and walking or standing for extended periods. The position is classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt. The expected pay range is $26.05 to $32.04 per hour, with pay on an annual step progression. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and skill set. FAC-only night shifts receive an additional $1.80 per hour shift premium. Full health insurance benefits are available on day one, along with life and disability insurance, up to 13 days of PTO during the first year, nine paid company holidays, a 401(k) option with company match, and education assistance.
