About The Position

The Forklift Operator works at Team Industries in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, supporting warehouse operations for Goodwill NCW. The role loads and unloads trailers and trucks, operates a forklift safely, and stages products by commodity in designated areas for future access. It also involves maintaining an organized and safe work area, communicating trailer locations with drivers, providing customer service to internal and external customers, and promptly reporting damage with required documentation. Work is primarily in a warehouse, with frequent interruptions and extensive contact with other team members.

Requirements

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, up to 8 hours.
• Ability to independently twist, lift, carry, push, or pull 10 to 25 pounds; use a team lift for objects weighing over 25 pounds.
• Ability to reach approximately 54 inches and frequently stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
• Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to perform detailed tasks.
• Ability to verbally communicate and exchange information.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of warehouse operation experience.
• Current forklift certification.
• Experience operating power equipment.
• Computer experience, or willingness and ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers and trucks while ensuring paperwork is accurate.
• Operate a forklift safely in accordance with OSHA and agency standards.
• Stage products safely in designated areas by commodity to ensure future accessibility.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate current trailer locations to drivers.
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Report damage immediately and complete required paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
