About The Position

The Forklift Operator I safely operates basic powered material handling equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks, to receive, store, and fulfill orders. The role is responsible for product safety, quality, legality, and integrity. The position also performs other distribution functions as business volume and needs require.

Requirements

Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment, including electric pallet jacks and stand-up or sit-down forklifts.
Must meet all PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, by hand or with equipment.
Safely load, unload, transport, and stack materials using forklifts.
Sort and build products onto pallets to meet customer expectations.
Use machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallets.
Perform quality control to ensure transaction accuracy.
Conduct daily equipment inspections for maintenance.
Maintain storage-location accuracy through daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks.
Perform other distribution work functions as needed based on business volume and need.
Adhere to strict OSHA safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
