About The Position

This position involves driving a powered industrial truck equipped with forklift, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a warehouse or factory setting. The role is responsible for loading and unloading skids/pallets, placing and removing skids from assigned bunks, ensuring accurate counts of materials, wrapping and strapping completed skids, and potentially working on the production assembly line. The operator must exercise care for the safety of personnel, property, and materials, enter data into company systems, complete daily maintenance checks on equipment, and clean up their work area at the end of the shift. Adherence to Food safety, Quality, HACCP, and GMP standards is also required.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years driving experience
Valid Forklift Licence
Must be able to read, write and speak English
High School Diploma or equivalent
Computer literate in word and excel applications

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of warehouse software applications
Knowledge of Shipping and receiving documentation
Knowledge of inventory would be an asset

Responsibilities

Loads and unloads skids/pallets on/off trailers and transports to various areas within the plant
Places and removes skids from assigned bunks in safe manner
Ensures counts are accurate on materials being received and shipped
Wraps and straps completed skids from production line
May be required to work on the production assembly line
Exercises care for the safety of personnel, property and materials at all times
Enters data into company systems as directed
Completes daily maintenance check on the equipment and reports issues/problems to Manager
Cleans up work area at the end of the shift as directed
Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed.
Performs other duties as assigned
