Seasonal Forklift Operator 1 2nd Shift
About The Position
Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift. This role is crucial in maintaining our safety culture and ensuring efficient operations. This position offers a starting rate of $18/hour with a $1/hour differential for the 2nd shift, plus additional incentives like a safety shoe reimbursement. The role involves operating forklifts, managing pallets, and assisting in other areas as needed. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of your shift

Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and a walkie rider
- Load, wrap and/or stage pallets
- Organize/stack parcels onto pallets
- Dock scan and count pallets to ensure accuracy
- Move pallets of product to various departments and on to the mezzanine
- Operate box maker
- Move & empty shrouds into compactor and replace
- Cross train and assist in other areas
