About The Position

We’re seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a Forklift Driver. This position involves safely and efficiently loading, unloading, and moving materials on a work site. This job must be carried out in compliance with the OmniMax Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, OmniMax policies and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and Local laws.

Requirements

  • 12 or more months of relevant experience
  • Ability to use ordinary arithmetic and manufacturing schedules
  • Judgment is required to follow routing instructions, deliver and pick up of materials, load and unload trucks properly
  • Good attendance and performance record

Responsibilities

  • Operate battery and propane powered and 4D and Crown and lift trucks to pick up and transport raw material, Work in Process, or finished product to and from designated storage areas or production work centers
  • Perform material handling assignments in punch press, roll forming, painting, valley, warehouse, storage, shipping and receiving areas
  • Move aluminum, steel and copper coils from designated storage area to work centers and to storage area
  • Coils to be loaded onto coil carts or pallet decoilers
  • Responsible for the removal of scrap bins, weighing and recording scrap weights, removal and bailing of cardboard, and removal/supplying of  wooden pallets
  • Flexibility to be cross trained in other areas, i.e. Production or Shipping
  • Receive direction from supervisor, follow standard procedures and practices and written/verbal instructions
  • Detect and report faulty operation of equipment and report same to supervisor
  • Provide for normal operating maintenance of equipment used, and keep in a clean and orderly condition
  • Follow established policies, practices and procedures to ensure product quality, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
  • Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Leadership
