About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for a Weekend 2nd Shift Forklift Operators in Riverside, CA. As a Weekend 2nd Shift Forklift Operator, you will operate Raymond or Crown Cherry forklift / Order Picker in and around the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include pulling product for shipment, moving product from inbound bins to racks, relocating product, and ensuring inbound product and transfers are stored in designated rack areas. You will also be responsible for scanning merchandise, positioning product on racking systems, and carrying/transporting orders to the dock. The role requires operating radio frequency equipment, conducting operations in compliance with OSHA standards, and maintaining a clean warehouse floor. This is a full-time weekend opportunity, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience operating a Cherry Picker Forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Proven experience with order picking and inventory selection processes.
• Ability to safely operate a Cherry Picker and other material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume warehouse setting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a furniture warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling bulky, oversized, or high-value furniture products.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
• Experience operating additional material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, or electric pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Operates Raymond or Crown Cherry forklift / Order Picker in and around warehouse
• Pulls product from the warehouse for shipment to the stores and DC’s
• Moves product from Inbound Bins into the racks based on product type and dimension
• Relocates product from end caps and service area into racks
• Efficiently pick customer orders
• Ensures inbound product and transfers received are stored in designated rack areas
• Responsible for scanning merchandise prior to moving it to a different location
• Positions product on racking system
• Carry or transports orders to the dock with material handling equipment
• Able to operate radio frequency equipment
• Conducts operations in compliance with OSHA standards
• Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety
• Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled
• Inspects the equipment
• Maintains a clean free from debris warehouse floor
• Meet company standards for productivity
